Bal Vikash English Secondary School

This is an extract from an interview with Mr. Gosai, the school principal at Bal Vikash English Secondary School:

– The school was founded in 1988. The name “Bal Vikash” means in Nepali “Child development”. The school was started by responsible people who believed in that children should have a better education.

– The school moved to these buildings in 2006. At the moment there are more than 900 students at the school and the number is increasing.

– The motto of the school is: “Pursue excellence and individual for change”. We want the children to be an excellent man power, and we want them individually to work harder and harder to bring changes in their life and to bring changes in to society.

– 95% of the children come from working class or a peasant backgrounds. We want to give them a better background and education.
