In Nepal it is compulsory to wear a school uniform.
At Bal Vikash English Secondary School preschool children do not have to wear uniform.
Grade 1 to 4 wear black shoes, blue trousers/skirt, white shirt and a red pullover. Boys wear a tie and girls wear white ribbons.
5 th. grade and up:
Boys wear grey trousers, white shirt, a blue pullover and tie and black shoes. They can also wear a blue jacket or sports jacket.
The girls wear a grey skirt, white shirt, a blue pullover and a white ribbon. They can also wear a sports jacket.
Divide the class into groups of 4-5. Half of the groups must find at least five arguments for wearing a school uniform. Half of the groups must at least find five arguments for not wearing a uniform. Use the templates here.
Write all the arguments on the board and discuss them one by one.
